Introduction
Al Rehman chemical industries (Private) limited is new emerging company of Chemicals. The company has planned to install plant for refining crude glycerin in the first step. The company is well positioned to sell these products to main downstream industries including associated company Power Chemical industries Ltd. Downstream Industries has flourished at a rapid pace over the years.
Proposed Chemical Unit is being established to refine crude glycerin to get USP Grade refined in Ist Phase and afterward for future expansion for manufacturing of stearic acid, soap Noodles. A rapid growth of chemical industry in Pakistan encouraging indicator for manufacturing of refined glycerin.
Mainly used in Textile industry, food industry as a sweetener, and in pharmaceutical formulations as humectants, the glycerin market is anticipated to rise at greater than 8% on per annum basis. Furthermore, the initiatives that promote health and hygiene, as well as the growing use of detergent soaps, have resulted in the rise of soap production industry, which is further increasing the demand for glycerin. Other uses of glycerin are personal care and beverage sector.
History
Mr. Muhammad Afzal (Late) (Chairman) started the business as small manufacturer of Dry Powdered Glue back in 1977 as cottage industry, with passage of time business grownup and first manufacturing unit in one kanal in late 90’s. With his expanded efforts, hard work, relentless struggle the business grows over the years and converted into Private Limited company 2008 named Power Chemical Industries Limited and to cater the business requirements converted into public limited company in 2015. The said parent company is currently the largest suppliers of adhesive and coating sector in Pakistan competing multinational companies. Also largest importer of various chemicals used in paint, textile, adhesive and like industries.
